FOIA Request Sent to Town of Grafton Regarding Newly Registered Voters on November 7, 2024

FOIA Request to Town of Grafton Regarding New Voter Registrations on November 7, 2024.

As part of our ongoing commitment to providing comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at Ozaukee County News have sent a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request to the Town of Grafton. The request, dated November 7, 2024, seeks records under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., specifically requesting a list of new voters who registered to vote on November 5, 2024.

Our role as a media organization is not only to gather and report news but also to hold public institutions accountable and provide transparency for the public. Access to public records is crucial in fulfilling these responsibilities. We believe that our status as a media professional makes us eligible for a fee waiver for this request.

We will continue to follow up on this matter and provide updates as they become available. Our goal is always to keep the public informed about important local government activities and decisions.
