FOIA Request to City of Cedarburg Regarding Same Day Registered Voters in the 2024 Election on November 7, 2024.
In our continuous efforts to provide comprehensive and accurate news coverage on local governmental affairs, we at Ozaukee County News have sent a request under the Wisconsin Open Records Law, §19.31 et seq., to the City of Cedarburg. The request was made for a list of new voters who registered to vote on Election Day, November 5, 2024.
As a media organization, we are committed to holding public institutions accountable and providing transparency to the public. Access to public records is essential for us to fulfill these professional responsibilities. We believe that as media professionals involved in gathering and reporting news to the public, we are eligible for a fee waiver.
