MTHS Members,
You can't ring in the new year without a calendar!! Just a quick reminder that the 2023 MTHS Calendars are available at Port Washington State Bank offices in Mequon and Thiensville, Chuck's Place, and the Thiensville Village Hall. Each member of MTHS is entitled to a free calendar. Additional calendars are available for $10 each.
This year's calendar features historic pictures of local businesses. The cover shows John Gierach behind the counter of his general store on Green Bay Road. You might remember that John was Thiensville's first village president in 1910 and served as the Town of Mequon Tramp Commissioner in the mid 1890s when he was still working as a blacksmith..
We are mailing calendars to everyone outside the Mequon/Thiensville/Cedarburg/Grafton community. They should be arriving this week. If anyone would like to have your calendar mailed or delivered, contact us at mthistory1839@gmail.com or leave a message at 262-242-3107.
