Double-handed Sailboat Race

Watch the colorful sails enter the harbor as two person crews race from Michigan and up the coast from Illinois. Grab a seat at one of our lake view restaurants, or a bench in the park to watch. Boats start coming in early evening - depending on the wind, of course! Watch the weather. Sailors will arrive beginning mid-afternoon to late evening, depending on the wind.
The Course—East-Shore Division: 66.5 nautical miles from a starting line at Muskegon, Michigan, by any course, to a finish line at Port Washington, Wisconsin. Starting will commence at 0800 (local time) June 9, 2022. The Course—West-Shore Division: 53.5 nautical miles from a starting line at Winthrop Harbor, Illinois by any course to a finish line at Port Washington. Starting will commence at 0830 (local time) June 9, 2022.
