Cornerstone Community Bank Hosting Buddy Basket Drive to Benefit Homeless Veterans

Mequon-Thiensville Area Chamber of Commerce issued the following announcement on March 29.

Cornerstone Community Bank is hosting a “Buddy Basket” drive during the month of April to benefit homeless veterans who are moving to permanent or transitional housing. The Buddy Basket project is part of the Veteran Affairs & Rehabilitation Program of the American Legion Auxiliary. The Buddy Baskets will be given to the Milwaukee Homeless Veterans Initiative (MHVI) for distribution. Collections are taking place at two Cornerstone locations: 2090 Wisconsin Avenue, Grafton; and N91 W17231 Appleton Avenue, Menomonee Falls.

Requested items include:

 Laundry basket

Waste basket

 Paper towels

 Bathroom tissue

 Window cleaner

 Scrubbing cleaner

 Rubber gloves for cleaning

 Dust pan with hand broom

 Light bulbs Shower curtain

 Bath towels

 Laundry detergent

 Eating utensils

 Dishes

In addition, we will also be collecting personal hygiene items for WOMEN veterans:

 Lotion

 Shampoo

 Shaving cream/Razor

 Conditioner

 Deodorant

 Hand sanitizer

 Shower gel/soap

Wipes
